Get trends

GET /v1/trends reads 2 credits

The trending topics on X's Explore page as a ranked list: the overall Trending list, or the News, Sport or Entertainment tab.

Query parameters

Query parameter	Type	Meaning
`category`	trending \| news \| sport \| entertainment = trending	`trending`, `news`, `sport` or `entertainment` (case-insensitive; `sports` is accepted). The Sport tab is frequently empty.
`limit`	int 1–100 = 30	Maximum number of trends to return

response

The category, the title X shows above the list (null when there is none) and the trends in rank order — each with its name, the context label X attaches, the post count or summary line when X shows one, related grouped trends and a search URL. The list is a single page; it may be empty for a tab X currently shows nothing in, and an empty list is not charged.

Status: 200, 400, 422, 429, 502
